How Forge works with your training, your tools and your data, and what to expect once it is live.
Forge is Rise Up's AI Performance Officer: an agentic AI platform that detects skill gaps in the flow of work, builds tailored practice activities and measures progress against business KPIs. Employees work with coaches specialised by role, grounded in the company's own content and tools. Forge follows a four-step method: Detect, Build, Deploy, Prove.
An e-learning module delivers knowledge once, to everyone. A Forge coach supports practice at the moment it matters: preparing a client meeting, rehearsing a difficult conversation, checking a procedure. It adapts to each person's role and level. The two work together: training lays the foundations, practice builds performance.
No. A Forge coach is available at any time, to every employee, on the concrete situations of their day, which no team of human coaches can cover at scale. Managers and human coaches keep the high-value moments: feedback, decisions, one-to-one support. Forge frees up their time and shows them where to focus.
Forge is built by Rise Up, a French learning technology company founded in 2014. Rise Up serves more than 600 companies in 73 countries and over 5 million learners. Forge Learning is the entity behind the Forge product.
Forge coaches offer more than 15 activity types: role plays and conversation simulations with instant feedback, podcasts, flashcards, quizzes, checklists and positioning tests. Every activity is generated from your content and adapted to the person's profile, level and history with the coach.
Forge data is hosted in France by Scaleway, its main sub-processor. This covers users' personal data and imported content: documents, videos, knowledge bases. Forge acts as a data processor under GDPR and your company remains the data controller.
No. Forge does not train any AI model and your data is not used to train its AI providers' models either. Forge uses models for inference only and sends just limited extracts of your content: up to 5 extracts of 512 tokens per request. The no-training commitment is written into the contract.
Yes. Forge and Rise Up are ISO 27001 certified and Forge is GDPR compliant. A risk assessment is carried out every year as part of the certification. Commitments are set out in the privacy policy, the About your data page and the DPA, available on request.
Forge is designed to meet the EU AI Act. In standard use it falls under the transparency obligations: users know they are interacting with an AI. High-risk uses, such as automated HR assessments or decisions with legal effect on a person, are excluded by contract. An AI notice describes how the system works.
No. Forge helps each person improve; it is not used to rate them. The contract prohibits using Forge for automated HR assessments or individual decisions with legal effect. Indicators show a team's progress and the effect of coaching on performance.
Your company does. You choose the content and tools connected to Forge (CRM, email, calendar, ticketing, LMS) and decide which coach draws on which sources. You can add or remove a source at any time.
Forge coaches answer from the sources you choose: your procedures, offers and frameworks. An internal control layer checks each answer for consistency and the coach cites its sources where relevant. When a source is updated, the coach follows. Answer quality therefore depends first on the quality of the connected content.
Forge coaches rely on your content and frameworks rather than general knowledge, which limits stereotyped answers. An internal control layer checks answers for consistency. You control each coach's sources, tone and instructions and can align them with your diversity and inclusion policies.
No. Forge does not replace your LMS, it complements it. The LMS carries the theory: courses, learning paths, compliance. Forge supports practice in the flow of work, with coaches grounded in your content and each role's context. Forge connects to Rise Up or another LMS and also works without one.
No. Forge works on its own or with any LMS. For Rise Up customers, Forge connects natively to the platform and extends learning paths into practice. For everyone else, Forge connects to your LMS and business tools, or works without an LMS.
Forge connects to more than 60 tools, including Salesforce, Microsoft Teams and Slack. It links to the main LMS and HRIS platforms (Moodle, Cornerstone, SAP SuccessFactors, Workday), content spaces such as SharePoint and Google Drive and everyday tools: email, calendar, CRM and ticketing. These connections give the coach the context of the role.
Yes. Forge coaches are available in Microsoft Teams and on mobile with iOS and Android apps, so they support teams where they work, including in store or in the field.
Forge coaches work in 40 languages, including English and French. They adapt their activities to each user's language. A single coach can support an international team from content written in one language.
No. Forge builds coaches and activities from your existing content: procedures, offers, sales materials, brand guidelines, training materials. There are no new modules to produce. The more precise and up to date the content, the more accurate the coaching.
Yes. Each Forge coach is built from your context: your processes, vocabulary, values and brand guidelines. You set its role, tone and instructions and change them whenever you need. A sales coach for a retailer does not sound like a compliance coach for an audit firm.
Yes. Forge coaches work like a conversation, in plain language, with no prior training. Activities are short and built for the field: preparing a sale in a few minutes, checking a procedure, revising before starting a new role. Rollout happens in stages, team by team.
Forge is designed for teams whose performance plays out on the job: sales, store associates, customer service, customer success, managers, new hires and compliance-driven roles. Each coach is built for a specific role and context. Forge is deployed in retail, logistics, manufacturing and energy, for example for daily safety checks on an oil platform.
Managers see their team's progress and know where to focus their support. Forge handles day-to-day practice, while managers keep the high-value conversations: feedback, reviews, decisions. Forge also offers coaches for managers, for example to prepare an annual review or a difficult conversation.
A first coach can be live within a few weeks. Forge builds it from your existing content, with no new modules to produce. Rollout usually starts with a limited scope and KPIs agreed together, before extending to other teams.
Forge measures skill mastery in real situations, not completion rates. At the start, you choose the business KPIs to move: conversion rate, compliance, customer satisfaction, time to proficiency. Forge then links coaching activity to those KPIs through your connected tools, such as the CRM. This is the Prove step of the Forge method.
First signs of usage and progress show within the first weeks. The effect on business KPIs shows over a full cycle of the activity, for example a quarter for a sales cycle. That is why KPIs are set from day one, to compare before and after.
Yes. Forge can first be deployed on a limited scope, one team or one site, with KPIs agreed together from the start. This first deployment shows the effect on your own numbers before extending to other teams. Details are discussed during a demo.
Forge is deployed in large companies across retail, logistics, manufacturing and energy. Use cases in production include sales coaching, new hire onboarding and daily safety checks on an oil platform. At Rise Up, a salesperson coached by Forge closed his first enterprise deal in six months instead of eighteen: read Kaushal's story.
Forge is priced on quote. The price depends on the number of coaches deployed and the number of users, so you can start small and extend. For an estimate tailored to your context, book a demo.
Yes. Forge works with training, consulting and recruitment firms that deploy coaches for their own clients, as well as with referral partners. Terms (licences, support, resale conditions) are agreed case by case with the Forge team.
